Opening
a new business used to involve standing in long lines, asking the same questions
to dozens of people and trying to decipher numerous forms and permits. It
was a constant battle of taking two steps forward and three steps back.
Now the battle has been won with the opening of the One Stop Business Center located in the Business Resource Center in the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama.
Opening July 11th, the One Stop Center was developed to aid small business startups in obtaining the necessary information and forms regarding licenses, permits and taxes that are required by local, state and federal governments.
By entering the Business Resource Center, you will be able to log on to the
site that will enable you to fill out most needed forms and print them for
delivery to the appropriate entity. Not only is the legwork eliminated, but
also you are actually given the direction of steps needed to begin the start
up work.
Numerous educational tools are also provided at the Center to help small business grow and thrive. These include:
Unfortunately,
at this time, you cannot purchase your business license at this location.
The Chamber staff members are here to help assist you, as needed, in locating
the information. Actually, the procedure is as simple as a computer game.
You will be amazed at the simplicity as well as the time saved. As an added
bonus, The Center also allows you to contact the governmental agencies if
you require additional information. All of this within these four walls and
more to come.
